Payment and Billing: Common Questions

Have a question about charges, payments, or billing? Here are answers to the most common payment and billing questions on GoodLabs.

What Will I Be Charged For?

When you place an order on GoodLabs, your total includes:

  • Test price(s): The cost of each lab test you ordered

  • Lab draw fee: A one-time fee for the blood draw appointment

  • Processing fee (if adding tests): A small fee (~$4) when adding tests to an existing order

All prices are shown at checkout before you pay.

I Was Charged Twice β€” What Should I Do?

If you see two charges from GoodLabs:

  1. Check if one is a temporary hold: Banks sometimes show a pending authorization and a final charge separately. The temporary hold usually drops off within 1–3 business days.

  2. Check your orders: Log in at app.goodlabs.com/orders and verify you don't have two separate orders.

  3. Still seeing duplicates? Contact our support team with your order details. We'll verify the charges and refund any duplicates promptly.

My Payment Failed at Checkout

If your payment was declined or you got an error during checkout:

  • Try again: Sometimes a retry works if the issue was temporary

  • Use a different card: Try a different credit or debit card

  • Check your card details: Make sure the card number, expiration date, and CVV are correct

  • Contact your bank: Your bank may have blocked the transaction for security reasons

If you continue to see errors, contact our support team and we'll help troubleshoot.

How Do I Get a Receipt or Invoice?

Your order confirmation email serves as your receipt. You can also view your order details and charges by logging in and going to app.goodlabs.com/orders.

Can I Use Insurance to Pay?

GoodLabs offers direct-to-consumer lab tests at transparent, upfront prices. We do not currently bill insurance directly. However, our prices are often significantly lower than what you'd pay through insurance, especially for common panels.

You may be able to submit your receipt to your insurance company or HSA/FSA for reimbursement β€” check with your plan for details.

How Do Refunds Work?

If you cancel an order before your blood draw, you'll receive a full refund to your original payment method. Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details.

I'm Seeing an Unexpected Charge

If you see a charge you don't recognize:

  • Check if you have an active order at app.goodlabs.com/orders

  • Check if someone else on your account placed an order

  • If you still don't recognize the charge, contact our support team and we'll investigate
